Hypnotherapy and Guided Visualisation
Are you looking to use the process of hypnosis to help you to resolve a challenge that you are facing? We can certainly help you with this as hypnosis can help with several different issues and can also aid with resolving these problems quickly. Hypnosis is a psychological state with certain attributes, resembling sleep and marked by a functioning of the individual at a level of awareness other than the ordinary conscious state. Hypnosis existed before any religions were formed. Hypnosis isn’t like its portrayed in films i.e. as a puppet doing the bidding of someone else! Its just another tool to aid someone to connect with their unconscious mind to help them to heal their negative emotions and limiting decisions.
Brief History.
- Originated in the 18th Century
- The term hypnotism was first coined in 1842 by James Braid
- Hypnosis came from “Animal Magnetism” work by Franz Anton Mesmer in the 1700’s.
- Many Hypnotherapists use NLP Techniques in Trance Work
- Several medical reviews state the Authenticity of Hypnosis
How is it used now?
If necessary, we can do Hypnosis and or Pendulum work. To lead you to a deeply relaxed state. To enlist the Unconscious Mind’s assistance in eliminating the problem. This will act as a tool for your subconscious to help you to resolve any problems you’re experiencing, because it will know the solutions to all your problems, unlike your conscious mind which may not know. Why use Hypnosis you ask? Well because people that feel better heal better!

What Is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is a trance-like state that resembles sleep but is induced by the subject’s ability to readily accept suggestions from the hypnotist.
What Types Of Hypnotherapies Exist?
The main types of hypnotherapy are traditional hypnosis, Ericksonian hypnosis, cognitive-behavioral hypnotherapy (CBH), regression hypnotherapy, solution-focused hypnotherapy and neuro-linguistic programming (NLP).
What Type Of Hypnotherapy Will Be Used Here?
NLP and hypnosis share many similarities. NLP explores the relationship with your five senses, also known as VAKOG (visual, auditory, kinesthetic, olfactory, and gustatory), and the way you process language to produce positive change in your life. Many hypnotherapists also use NLP as a tool to aid clients to produce the desired change.
My Experience of Hypnosis as a Child
I remember my friend’s mum saying that her husband had been hypnotised by a hypnotherapist while he was walking past a hypnosis demonstration in a crowded marketplace. My first thought was, “really, is this true?” Can anyone truly get hypnotised just by walking past a demonstration?
What were your thoughts on hypnosis? Is your mind open to giving it a try?
“Our clients problem is that they have lost rapport with their unconscious mind. Our job is to help restore that relationship”
Milton H. Erickson
